Heat for thermograph image

Can you get heat from a mcc bucket with no load, like a bucket feeding a welding disconnect on but with nothing attached?

Unless you just turned it off, then immediately checked, why would any parts be warmer than any others?

Thus I would say not.

There could be heat from the busbar or adjacent buckets, but those sources should be pretty obvious in the image.

Thanks, I was thinking of a loose connection, like in the welding disconnect down stream.
I'm thinking wrong you have to have current to create heat.
