heated floor under shower

A customer asked me to install electric heat under the bathroom floor. I've done this several times before, but he wants it under the shower also. Is this permissible ? ? Thank you

the electric heat mats I've seen state in the manufacturers instructions NOT to install under showers or tubs.

Newer installs under tubs and showers now get a rubber mat. It seems that space is the plumbers...

There are low voltage systems that are rated for in the shower. Nothing in the nec disallows the install, IMO.

I never understood why someone would want a heated floor in the shower. The tile gets hot when you turn on the water.

Not sure if it is low voltage but it is listed for showers. I guess people use the heat in the shower to dry the tile after the shower
