HEIGHT OF DISCONNECT

Customer would like me to lower 60A disconnect switches. Presently they are approximately 3FT., O.C., above grade. Is there a minimum height anyone is aware of that I must adhere to?

In some areas of coastal Florida, we have 100-year flood plane levels. In these areas, some electrical equipment cannot be installed below that point. Check with your building code and the AHJ.

THANKS FOR ADVICE. DISCONNECTS ARE OUTDOOR INSTALLATION FOR TRUCK DOCKS. CUSTOMER WISHES TO LOWER FOR AESTHETICS. MAY I BURY 2' T'S BELOW GRADE AND REDUCE TO 1"/ DISCONNECT ABOVE GRADE?WIRE SIZE IS 6AWG FOR VD, 3perPHASE, + 2 FOR 120V BLOCK HEATERS. AGAIN THANKS FOR THE INPUT.

Customer wishes to lower disconnects for aesthetic reasons. Disconnects are outside for truck docks. May I bury pvc t's below grade and reduce above grade?

If you are talking about burrying t condulets below grade.....Think of what the problems would be #1 not listed for direct burial,#2 110.26,ETC.
