Hi - my main panel is 200a 40/80 and I only have two slots available.

I wish to add an EV charger and a swim spa - both require their own 60amp breaker.

I want to have a few extra slots for the future as well.

I am thinking about adding a sub panel BR100ASingle phase20/40 circuit.

What size breaker should my sub panel by running off my main panel?

Is 100amp sub panel enough?

I plan on hiring an electrician, but I like to know what I need beforehand.

Tks!

Joe

Your electrician can do a load calculation to determine the conductor size for the subpanel. The AHJ will likely want a load calculation as you are adding substantial load
