I am trying to figure out how to read the Terminal Lugs Table
I am looking to install a 1200 AMP (208V/3P) Service in Aluminum

For Min Wire Size is says (1) 1/0 AWG or (2) 1/0 AWG
For Max Wire Size is says (1) 750 kcmil or (2) 300 kcmil
Does this equipment only allow up to 2 sets.

I feel like I am missing something when reading this table. I'm trying to determine what wire size it need but I need at least 3 Sets

3 sets of 600mcm Cu would get you 1200A

Just trying to learn this stuff. But what does the (2) mean, I bolded it below.
Four per pole of (2) 1/0 thru 300mcm.
What would the wire size be if I use (2) for 600 AMP
The (2) means that you can land two of that size conductor in each termination lug. Most termination lugs are only listed for one conductor, but some are listed for 2 and they are required to be identified as suitable for use with more than one. The (2) marking is the required identification that permits you to install two conductors per lug.

So using two conductors per lug you have a number of combinations that you could use. These examples assume copper conductors.
Eight 1/0s
Six 3/0s

So that means I can use 6 sets of 3/0 for 1200AMP in CU.
Or I can use 4 sets of 500kcmil for 1200AMP in AL.
Yes. Each "hole" will allow two conductors if they're in the inclusive size range between #1/0 and 300 kcmil. Personally I wouldn't want to run 6 sets of #3/0 when I could run 3 sets of 600's.

Would 4 sets of 500kcmil for 1200AMP in Aluminum work the best?

No, it allows four sets.

Yes, you're missing what it says in the first column. The 1200a version has four lugs per pole.

If you want to run three sets of conductors, use three of the four holes provided for each pole.
