not much doing sat, so i dug out an old sign a customer gave me a coupla years ago and cleaned and repainted. boy, was i surprised at the cost of the bulbs, 2-24" and 2-33" were 40 bucks. all the wiring was excellent, transformers were like new, still need to replace the starters, 3 work, but think i'll replace all four. have one cracked tombstone  they are riveted and soldered. looking for a replacement. just a minor crack, but i'd rather fix it. any suggestions?

I would have preferred Upper-10. Is that stuff still around?

From Wikipedia

It appears that you can still buy UPPER 10 anywhere else in the world, EXCEPT the United States

If you strike out on that tombstone you need, I'm 90% sure I have some. I have some big chunky tombstones in a box with the "Challenger" brand name on them that, if I remember rightly, are the same as the one's in your pic.

I think i would have retrofit it to use t-8
Do they even make T8's in the sign lamp lengths? I think he said his sign took a few 33-inchers. Several years back I sold a florist on converting a floral display cooler to T8's since there were a few failed ballasts already, only to realize that I couldn't get the lamps in the sizes I needed. Things might be better now.

But now the sawhorse beacon is missing.:D

Yeah I don't know how that happened befre but I made sure it didn't this time. I somehow selected that spot along with the sign--- freaky stuff.:D
