I recently went to this and it was fantastic. The presenter Phil Simmons. He was knowledgeable about the subject and a good instructor.

Not that I'm an expert now, but I have maore confidence in applying the rules in the NEC as well as using NFPA 497 as a guideline in classifying areas.

Phil's a great guy. He was instrumental in getting CMP14 to carefully consider which hazardous location material, equipment or installation technique needed to be listed, identified, or approved. Each term has a slightly different shade of meaning. The original IAEI goal was to have everything listed but it just didn't always apply at the time. It has improved and we should see the requirements adjusted more in the future.
