Hi Everyone I have a question about the Ground Rods For A Duplex.

It seems to me that the simplest thing to do would be to drive two rods 6' apart, connect one rod to one disco and the other rod to the other disco, and then run a jumper between the rods. Wouldn't that be compliant?
That would work.
 
But going to the rods only needs to be a #6 correct.
The problem with the code is that it is like the English language. For every rule there is an exception. If we ran a GEC from a a separate grounding electrode to a ground rod, and then from that ground rod to another ground rod and from that ground rod to the service, then the conductors would all have to be sized for the larges required GEC. Just sayin'
