High Bay 6 Lamp T8 Fixtures

I am installing these fixtures in a warehouse addition, with the factory installed disconnect inside the fixture are you still installing receptacles for easier maintence. I was going to wire these with a so/sj type cord, does this cord get sized based on the overcurrent device or can you reduce in size based on individual fixture load. I was reading thru some NEC 400 and not sure on the cord sizing.

Receptacles, plug cord caps, SJ cord......way too much work.

MC cable is quicker and easier.

If you can order the fixtures with the cord and plug already installed it's about a wash on the labor and cost.

Beat me to it. Depends if you are installing the cords in the field or some factory worker in China is installing them.:happyyes:

Plugs are great for maintenance. If you have a job of 100 fixtures, just sell them 101. Instead of changing ballasts in the air, just disconnect, hang the new fixture and do your maintenance on the ground.
