Bring your own TP, if you’ve never tripped it before. Same with cranking it back on. They make me jump every time.
Loud as an old Westinghouse when the spring recharges or louder?

we have old 25kV and some 115kV air blast breakers.
I'm jumpy anyway... those make me jump..

I have had a couple of them that din't fully open the contacts, they were stuck. Verify.

Usually find those during storm duty, old stores, and the switch had never been opened since it was first energized! Can’t hook the entire store up to generator, so the customer isn’t happy.

That's why our computer hot site test their circuit breakers, generators, elevators, security keypads at least once a year.

When I worked at a steel mill in the late 70s, someone I knew was killed when he didn't lock off a Pringle Switch feeding a switchboard that fed a nail production line. We don't know why he didn't lock it off, but we thought maybe because the room itself was locked. A production supervisor started his shift, panicked about why the nail line was not running and making him miss his quota, went over and saw the switch open and re-closed it. He lost his job, the electrician lost his life.
