I didn't read your original post carefully enough, apologies. But you make a good point. This is why, if the opportunity presents itself, we'll tap the power for a shunt coil or similar usage from the same circuit feeding the kitchen equipment. I won't swear the techs have always confirmed that you can double-tap said breaker; what you don't know, etc.There is actually a subtle point here. It is not the range equipment that is on this disconnect, it is the control (coil) voltage that is on it. Doesn't make much sense since there would be powered to control, if the main was off.
