Nothing like a 1/2" drill and a sharp auger bit. Is that MC or AC, must be in NYC. :D

You can use Romex here in anything under 3 stories residential only, I'm just accustomed to using AC throughout my career and it's my own house so can't teach an old dog new tricks I guess

It was a good choice for my barn/shop/studio where the rats could be saddled....~S~

interesting , where does this doc hail from?
Thanks to DrCampbell. The Inter/national Building (IBC) or Residential code (IRC) is enforced by AHJ inspectors/insurers and fire marshalls. Lucky to see this here, albeit a relatively recent reference citing the 2008 NEC.

Lucky indeed Ramsy , and while most of us might be in compliance , i gotta wonder about the plumbers w/4" waste lines through 8"2nd flr rafters.....~RJ~

The New York City amendment that really bugs me the most is that you cannot use $ 14 wire at all no matter what for like voltage applications. They should really amendment again at least allow you to use it for new construction only . And for lighting circuits only if they want to get crazy
