Hot tub circuit

Have a hot tub that is going on a deck and within 30’ and insight of the panel that’s feeding it. Question is can I use 3c#6 with bare ground tray cable through joist in the deck all the way to the hot tub and only using a pvc sleeve from panel to beneath deck than (Stubbing up through deck into bottom of hot tub)

Yes I know the tray cable needs the ER-JP rating.
 
Sounds good. Make sure the instruction don't require a full-sized equipment grounding conductor. Personally for the 30' distance I would use pvc the entire way. No need for the tray cable.

If the instruction do require a full sized ground then you will have to use pvc anyway.

Only reason I’m wanting to do cable the whole way is deck is almost on grade and don’t wanna wrestle the ovc through bore holes and all that.
