It would work but no.

It is part of the breakers control power circuit, there is current on it at all times.

Chris was asking where i came up with putting the piggy tail on the breakers load side terminal when you don't have a neutral in the branch circuit or feeder. Vs putting it on the neutral bar.In the side photo there is an asterisk show the proper wiring.

Edit ... never mind not enough sleep.Totally mis read that
