I have a question regarding the 7' 6" requirement for lights overhead of a hot tub.

It has an exception for gfci protected circuit and the lights are suitable for wet location.

Would a transformer style track light head supplied by a gfci breaker meet all of the requirements if the lights are not 7' 6" above the tub?

Thank you,
Todd

glass or plastic globe?
meaning the lamp has to be contained.
a nonmetallic body or metallic body isolated from contact (contact from what? I'm not sure)makes me think that it doesn't want you to be accessible to any conductive parts.
What is the tracklight going to stab into?
a track?
if so I would think that this too would have to be non metallic or isolated in someway.Even so the bussbars in the track are still accessible live parts.
I would say that a track fixture and track would be a violation but that is jmo.

p.s if a metal tracklight you could probably span a large piece of plexiglass over the tub but below the track light and be within code. would'nt that be a looker.just kidding.

Progress makes an open bulb that is rated for wet locations (recessed trims) a rubberized bulb. if rated ok if not well....
