Does the hotel room meet the definition of a dwelling unit?cooking ,sanitation etc.If so then yes if not you may want to get a ruling from your AHJ but I would say no.

Scotty apparently my responses on the other post was not clear enough. I am sorry for that.

If there are no permanent provisions for cooking in the room then you don't meet the provisions for a dwelling and arc faults are not required anywhere in the room. However, the bathroom receptacles will need GFCI protection but does not fall under the provision of art. 210.52. You need to follow 210.8 (B) for the GFCI requirements.

I do not see the need to folow 210.11(C)(3) either since the room is not classified as a dwelling but it may be adviseable to do so.

Scotty, Looks like arc-faults just don't happen in hotels according to the NEC. GFCI receptacle still needed near bath lav. rbj
