I Am Tring To Figure Out How To Service A Hotel For A Friend And It Seems Like I Can't Get It Right. The Hotel Is 20 Rms 10 On Top 10 On The Bottom Each Rm Is Built As A Seperate Unit The Inspector For My State I.e Wisconsin Said That Each Rm Has To Have It's On Meter And Pnl. I'm Tring To Figure Out How Many Amps I Need For The Whole Building

I know of no rule that would require each hotel room to have its own panel, let alone its own meter. That might be a local rule, but I doubt it. Anyone else from Wisconsin that can confirm or refute the Inspector's statement?
Have you started a load calculation per NEC article 220? Knowing just the number of rooms is not enough. You need square footage and a list of electrical items each room will contain (other than just plugs and lights).

Thank You For Responding So Quickly To My Question. I've Look The Code Book Over And I Can Not Find Anywhere That It Says That Each Rm In The Hotel Has To Be Metered Seperately. The Inpector States That Because The Rms Are Built As A Seperate Units (which By The Way You Can't Tell ) And Have A Fire Wall In Between Them They Are Considered To Be It's Own Unit And Therefore Needs It's Own Meter . Where In The Nec Would He Be Getting His Information And What In The Nec Could I Use To Combat Him

You can ask the inspector what code is he referencing. The other thing I have done was to call the NC (My state) Department of Insurance-- they are the AHJ over all inspectors in the state and ask them to rule on the issue. They have in the past starightened out the problem with the inspector when the inspector was mistaken.
