Hottub on gfi on generator?

I have a customer who wants his hottub on a gfi when his generator kicks in if ever. My question is will it work?

Why shouldn't it work.GFCI are used on generaters on construction sites.Let me guess ,this guy wants to sit in his tub after a huricane has torn his town to pieces.Had a neighbor that wanted to know what size generator he needed to keep his central AC running.I asked him where we were going to put the fuel tank.

I assume you mean will the GFI breaker work.
How is the house transferred to gen power? If it's got a main transfer switch it should work no problem.
