i ran across this picture on an area realtors website and it made me think about energize's post from yesterday. check out the location of the microwave in this $6M home.

"Why, no, James, we shouldn't need a microwave."

It also looks like the door trim just about blocks the oven doors.

-One of those double ovens is a combination microwave/bake oven.
-When you're buying a 6m house, you'll never see the kitchen anyway, unless you like to mingle with the help.
-How do they get the eggs to do that?

- The undercabinet lighting is spotty, and missing on the right hand side of the cooktop. (probably flourescents mounted right to the wall......ugh!)
- They put receptacles in the back-splash?? Why not plug strips?
What are these people getting for 6mil?

After all is said and done, I'd be willing to bet that all that is made in that kitchen is "reservations" anyway so the cooking equipment is a moot point.

yeh i wasn't real impressed w/ the kitchen either. the first thing i noticed too was that can bulb and those flourescent UC lights, but i just look for those things anyway.

here's the outside. the rest of the house seemed fairly nice.

Remember the old 'work triangle' guide for laying out kitchens?

I don't think they remembered that when this one got planned. I hope the cook gets paid mileage.

I would get hungry by the time I walked from one end of the kitchen to the other.
