If put in to NEC standards, the FMC would be subject to fill requirements, where the MC would not because of manufacturing process. Cable will almost always have a protective sheath between conductors and the outside of the cable.

May I check on your question? Are you asking about Article 348 Flexible Metal Conduit? --Or-- Are you asking about Article 320 Armored Cable?

When you say "(with wires)" do you mean the metal spiral is assembled in the factory with the wires already installed inside?
