How do you do it?

Come through the wall of the basin with pvc conduit into a pvc j-box. I would run pvc conduit at proper burial depth and then offset up at the last minute underground to come through the side near the top of the basin. Easier to make up your j-box cord connections near the top.

Drill a drain hole on the bottom of the box. Use grease filled wire nuts pointed up.

I guess we are spoiled here. All the systems I've done recently had a nice integral j-box and cord connectors made up and attached to the tank.

I left the guys with an “ID&$#K”. They PVC Td it, butt spliced with Paint on tape and heat shrink on up to an above ground box with a switch for a disconnect. Call me a hack. IDC. Post was about 8” away.

How do you guys do this?

Sewage lift, ejector pump. Residential.

Code wise, it's got to meet 110.25 w/in sight. This is why many are seen w/pedestal.

Listing wise, few meet the JB requirements of a methane atmosphere to 'splice' inside.

So, we drag all cords out to either proximal pedestal ,or ground box (assuming structure w/in 50')

FWIW, I just informed a local archy of the above stipulations , altered his pdf print and sent it back for 'review' , making it something like the 20th time i've asked design review focus on said requirements before bid

Archy...what’s that? (Customer called)
Plan review? PDF? (Guy On backhoe said we need power there)
Design review? Requirements? (See previous)
Bid? :rotflmao::rotflmao:

Guy on backhoe to my help ‘We let the customer get their own electrician nowadays’. (Help thinking ‘Yea, because you never payed the subs you had before, ...!)
