This is about providing power and data wiring to systems furnitures (cubicles) in office building. I have seen wall mounted junction boxes next to partition board for power and data. Electrical contractor to install power whip from power junction box to partition board, while telephone/data contractor install their own raceway (plastic flexible conduit) from data junction box to partition board. I have also seen floor mounted junction boxes at the corner of one cubicle. Sometimes electrical contractor install junction boxes under slab and poke through slab to partition board when office is on second floor or above.

How do you provide power and data wiring to cubicles? Thanks.

The type of feed to furniture partition really depends on a few different factors. First being whether or not the ceiling below is accessible. If so than the cheapest method if running the circuits in the ceiling below and stubbing up to feed the furniture. We've also used cellular floor ducts and dog houses to feed them too. Column/wall feeds work when the partition is close to a wall or column. If none of the above are feasible we will chase the floor, run EMT and install floor boxes to fed the partitions with a whip.

We use power poles. It has a conduit with the circuits, and open space for the com stuff. We run above the ceiling to jboxes, then flex to the conduits.
