How long ago did the requirement change?

I was asked in class, when the supplementing the water pipe as GES was added. What code cycle was that implemented? Thanks for your time, and besides having all previous NEC's where would I find this info? Thnaks again

I think they are asking when 250.53(D)(2) first appeared in the code.

If that's the case, 2002. Before that they were simply permitted.

Yea, 78 requires it, and I can't find similar language in the 75.
