I agree with it being counted!!!so we still have some inspectors who will enforce counting both travelers as current carrying conductors when applying derating rules.

Whatever floats your boatI don't. Never have counted a conductor that didn't carry current, when there was a pair and only one carried current at a time.
As I stated there is no exclusion so good luck convincing him/herthat's what I was getting at. Is there a specific exclusion or do I just need to convince the inspector that this logic makes sense?
