In a bathroom, how many receptacles i must have if I have two bowls on my counter top.
But if the two basins are less than 6' apart, wouldn't one receptacle between them meet the code? It might not be a great design, but OK nevertheless.two would be required per 2014 NEC 210.52(D), but this is only for dwelling unit bathrooms. "In dwelling units, at least one receptacle outlet shall be installed in bathrooms within (3ft) of the outside edge of EACH basin."

When it says "outside edge" it does not mean the edge furthest from a possible second basin.
And it did not say one receptacle per basin.
Technically one single receptacle would do the trick, but...
Just so any appliance cord does not have to cross one sink/lavatory to be used at the second space.
Something else to keep in mind the NEC is the minimum standard, you could always do better than required, if practical.
