I need to add a house panel and meter on this apartment building. The POCO provides bases here, so I'll ask them, too.

There will be no new loads, just removing them from what was probably originally the rental office, is now an apartment.

The load will be 2 washers, 2 dryers, 1 interior and 1 exterior lighting circuits, and a circuit for a surveillance cam system.

Should I explore adding a separate base and tap onto the bus, replacing the 4-gang with a 5, or ask for a separate feed?

I would think it should be easy to tap the line side bus in there, come out of that plated hub on the top left to a new meter base.

Only sticky think might be tapping that bus, depending on how "libertarian" y'all are down there with adding/replacing lugs. Also you could split bolt onto the feed before it hits the bus
