Is the existing gear the disconnecting means for a remote building or structure? If so, the new disconnect would still have to be grouped with the existing per 225.34.
What is the proposed transformer inrush? Is there a generator on site? What are the odds the primary overcurrent protection trips on inrush if it is not even 125% of the primary FLA? What is on the secondary? If there are any branch circuit breakers, I doubt you will achieve good coordination with the primary which may or may not be a concern.chevyx92 said:Because that is just overkill and was looking for other ways.
