With hps fixtures we have people putting in all sizes of bulbs because the fixtures label says UPTO 150 watts . I though it should be a 150 watt bulb. In this case they put in 50, 100, 150 watt bulbs. Im spoke to a vender but didn;t get a answer. Thank you

the open coil voltage will be too high if a lower wattage lamp is used in any HID type fixture except muti-wattage electronic MH, which is design this way.
So you have to use the correct wattage lamp for the ballast or you will have failures.
