Rewiring a house that has a hot water (hydronic) floorboard heating system. Like electric floorboard heaters, are receptacles taboo above these types of heaters?

Anything in Code regarding this situations with hyrdronic heaters?

Thanks,

Typically you would be ok to install a recep. above hot water heat baseboard. The water is not hot enough to burn through cords, drapes, etc. If possible, try to get the lesting of the baseboard.

Receptacles are allowed above hydronic baseboard heaters. The NEC only addresses electric baseboards.

UL Listing category KLDR for baseboard heaters says to keep away from electrical cords. But this category is for UL File 1042 Electric Baseboard Heating Equipment.

As far as I know, Code only addresses the placement of Receptacles above electric baseboard heaters, but wouldn't hydronic baseboard heaters also provide enough heat to damage extension cords, etc. over time?

So, I am still questioning placement of receptacles above hydronic baseboard heaters. Anymore input? What was the original intent of the restriction for outlets above electric baseboard heaters?

This is not an issue at all. The temeperature of the baseboard unit is not as hot as an electric unit nor is the heat output as hot. don't worry yourself over this.
