Receptacles within 6ft of outside edge of laundry, utility, wet bar or similar sinks: It's my understanding that you basically take a tape measure and swing an arc from the outside edge of a sink (including around corners and in the next room). That's easy enough. But what about kitchen and bathroom sinks? If I did the same thing other non-countertop, non-bathroom receptacles would fall into this zone. The house I'm wiring currently has a breakfast nook within 4' of the kitchen sink. I was assuming that I did not have to have GFCI protection for the nook's receptacles - do I if they are within 6'? Or does this not apply to kitchen/bath sinks?
