I have experienced a difference in this site

I am visiting my daughters in California. I signed on to the site this morning and kind of got a good laugh.
Usually I am up early in the morning (in NY) and sign in, seeing the first posts of the day.

Here in California, I went out to breakfast then I signed in. I noticed that there are a lot of posts, and the 3 hour time difference does make a difference for the "westside" guys.

Just something I would not think of until today.

I think of it all the time as my family is on east coast time and have to call here before 6 pm.
Have a good trip and visit.

And I'm 3 hrs behind Cal. Sometimes when I get home from work and look at the site, there is new 8 page battles going on that were not there in the morning. Usually about twisting wire before the nut is put on.

When I was in college, I had a night job as a telemarketer but had to work every other saturday morning. I went in one morning to find we had just got an account in hawaii. Someone forgot about the 5 hour difference (from georgia) when loading the numbers in the dialer, so @ 9AM EST I was calling people in honolulu. Apparently, its impolite to call someone at 4AM.

Nice of you to notice.....I'm a west coaster....uh, Left coaster.

I have realized that there are the early risers, which I call the east coasters. By my clock, start posting around 2:30 AM PST.

I check in for a quick look before work, 5:30 AM PST. After work, the east coasters have been going at it for awhile and are generally off by 7:30 PM PST.

Many topics are well rung out by the time west coast folks get to log on. Not good or bad, just something I noticed.

Another thing I noticed is that some of the east coast guys stay up way late.

Have fun and take lots of pics for us gotta check up on e57 and the likes of the west coast guys
.

I've always managed to make a few posts on my last few trips to California. Being an east coast guy, the time difference does throw me for a loop.

Even when I do go to Paris,France the time zone will be diffrent as well

Like example here CDT in Wisconsin it now 02:45 now and Paris,France is 09:45 now [ 7 hours diffrence there ]

And yeah it will get me by suprise if I am not carefull with phonecall if you don't take a account of time zones diffrence there. { It happend to me few time }

Merci,Marc

I was in Vegas for a conference and got a "call me back" voice mail from a client in Georgia. I called several times but kept getting the answering machine. I was exasperated thinking they had called me then decided to go home early. I did not think about the time difference until later.

You admit to that publicly? And fear not for your life? (Not the 4am thing, the telemarketer thing, of course....)
