I got a quote on TR's the other day, and they're $1330/M. I'm not sure that's enough to even let the matter rent space in your brain.

Regulation/legislation is not the only thing driving house building costs....so is the greed of the builders/developers.
Do you ever wonder why the developers (take any of the larger developers) are listed on the stock market? and the electricians for those developments are being paid a mere pitance, as well as the other trades....
That is not a regulation/cost issue, that is greed with those at the top.
For electricians in that type of situation my advice would be take advantage of collective bargaining and join your local union...

you mean Assist-2-Sell? Our local realtors HATE that company. They're a flat rate real estate company. I think here they charge $3k to sell whatever you want.
We used them when selling our last house....they wanted to list the house for around 10% less of what it was worth ...they were wanting a quick sale. we told them no and ended up getting our higher price...

Copper prices

Copper prices

I'm just wondering if we did not see such incredible jumps in the price of copper the last few years would these changes really be that big of a deal?

Marc, I must not be using this site correctly, how are you responding so fast. Do you happen to be on the same page as I am at the exact same time. For example if Im reading a post and I stay on that page I don't see new post coming In. I have to press the back button or go to whatever thread I am reading and double click it again. does that make since ? Am I messing up some how lol?

lmao, no seriously the site is not set up like Instant message is it?
No, but I run a macro against several sites that makes it seem like it. I do other stuff (work) in the background and the macro will holler at me if anything interesting is going on.

3%? who still works for 3%?
A lot of realtors work for 3%. As you may know, that is common here in Georgia. A lot of times it goes 3% to seller and 3% to buyer realtor. For a sell-by-owner you would probably have to offer at least 4% to the buyer's realtor.

Yeah that is 3% of a big chunk of change. Starter home here was $245,000.00 (who knows now MAYBE A REALTOR). Some realtor's work for that others are just Lister's. I think the WWW is changing that or going to change that. 1.5 to Lister selling agent on each end and 1.5% to the broker on each end=6%. I always thought this was too much especially when the house pricing was screaming up the charts.

I know, I know whats too much? IMO 6% from my expierence and what I saw their value was (after the fact).

I think being a realator is gravy money..lets see if your house runs 200K or less 7% if your house is over 500 they will negotiate a 5% or maybe less depends..lets see 5% of 500K = 25,000 so selling a house is very profitable..so make sure they earn their cash and at kind of cash my house should not sit on the market..the longer it sits on the market the lower there wage should be..
