I know you can replace 2-prong with 3-prong GFCI, but can you replace 2-prong with a 3-prong dual function AFCI/GFCI outlet?

Skills got nothing to do with it, the breaker itself can nuisance trip with perfectly wired circuits.

Thats because AFCI breakers are more sensitive to unskilled contractors than AFCI outlets.
