Well there's really two problems with this side-ways-trap, first the trap it to catch and retain some of the passing waste water to stop sewer gas from backing up into the pipe. The second problem is there no vent to atmospere or Stubber vent right after the trap. The vent takes away the back flow gas to atmosshere and also takes the pressure off the trapped waste water, the waste water will be drawn out of the trap without a vent, making it useless!goldstar said:....
But the best one is the plumbing trap. Doesn't it serve the same purpose as long as it's somewhere in the drain line ???
