I bought a 3 phase 10hp mechanical shear. I bought it knowing i didn't have 3 phase, but with an understanding i could run it with a 10hp VFD or 10hp rotary converter. My shop has 240ac single phase. My questions is if I use a VFD with 240vac input and 3phase 240 output, will i fry the motor if im only using the machine for 10-20min a day? Or do i have this all wrong?
