In calif. POCO would have wanted a 2 hole rigid strap with 3/8 3"lag bolts below the roof line,the meter sockets 5'5" max to center.

Depends on the POCO - I often install higher (I'm a tall guy - so most things get installed at my eye level... ) And often I use 1/4 lags, but in a pinch will use #10 screws with no flack what-so-ever..... 1 hole straps too... Then again most risers here in SF are up at 18-20'+ depending on where I can get past the windows - so it gets 3-4 straps and rare to have to go over a roof line with a periscope.

They wouldn't fit into the wp boxes....but I used chase nipples if it make you feel any better
