i was previously unaware of this type of electrical service

While it is possible to make such a thing, for an office building, 6 phase (or 6 faze) is not practical. I'd just treat it as an "oops." And the responses have been hilarous! :D

As stated above, 2 phase is almost unheard of anymore. Did not know that some AMD machines used it.

Some aircraft use a 4 phase system and 400 Hz. (Straight 90 degree quadriture system. I think it had a 30 degree initial offset though...)

I used to work on the 400Hz stuff...

Pull the windings of a generator apart - you may end up with 6-12 phases(poles)... 96 even.... Normally they are in parallel to get 3 phases at 240 or 208, and series for 480, much like transformers you can reconfigure for delta or wye generation - theoretically, if designed for it - maybe both????? ;) There was no mention of what flavor that bizar ad had - maybe it serves up the real spumoni????

Here is a six phase NEC reference.

647.5 Three-Phase Systems.
Where 3-phase power is supplied, a separately derived 6-phase ?wye? system with 60 volts to ground installed under this article shall be configured as three separately derived 120-volt single-phase systems having a combined total of no more than six disconnects.

from what is posted it is just a xformer wired CW rotation and annother xformer wired CCW rotation I am looking for 30* phase shift and this is not delivering that at all.

A delta/wye-connected transformer has a 30? phase shift between primary and secondary. Connect another in reverse rotation and you have -30? phase shift. Combine all six secondary windings and they'll have 60? phase shift between them.
