In years past, I have attended some IAEI seminars plus have attended several in IAEI meetings (State and Western Section meetings). I have never been in a poorly presented one nor have I heard of a bad one. Their material is well thought out with good illustrations and copious photographs. :)

I took the 2008 Soars/IAEI class in June of 2008 in Vermont hosted by the Green Mountain Chapter of the IAEI. It was presented by Chuck Mello. It was one of the best programs on grounding that I have been able to attend. Chuck, as always, delivered the material exceptionally well.

I've heard it's a great seminar by the deputy fire marshal in my area who attended one in April. I think I'm going to go.

IAEI 8-Hour Seminar - This seminar is a must for those who wish to keep informed and increase their expertise in the grounding and bonding of electrical systems. Completely revised to the 2008 National Electrical Code?, this popular seminar is based on the authoritative text, Soares Book on Grounding and Bonding, 10th Edition. This seminar clearly explains the fundamentals and practice of grounding and bonding in easily understood language. Dozens of new and revised color illustrations and photos of actual installations set forth, with accuracy and in detail, the fundamental principles of grounding and bonding. Anyone attending this seminar? Anyone been to a Soars Grounding and Bonding seminar like to share their opinion of it?

thanks

I have been to 3 Soars seminar 2 were excellent and one the presenter had no business discussing grounding as he had many misconceptions and at more that one point basically wanted me out of the class.

. . . one the presenter had no business discussing grounding as he had many misconceptions . . .
I am sorry to hear that. Your's is the first bad comment I have heard. I have heard Phil Simmons and Mike Johnston present recently and they were excellent. I have also been in a classes by Ray Mullin, Jim Pauley, Dick Loyd, and others.
