Is everyone in Illinois ready for the IECC (International Energy Conservation Code)? (Pronounced "ick").

I guess we are the first state to adopt a statewide energy conservation code.

Who would of thought Illinois would be more progressive than California or Florida.

Florida not only has a statewide energy code, they even have their own software to do the calculations. (And they charge for it!)

I knew Illinois couldn't be more PC than Florida.

Illinois has an Internet site that you enter the data into. It tells you if you comply or not. Please don't tell our good Governor that he could be charging for this. He is looking for any way possible to raise taxes without calling it a tax.
