There seem to be a few test questions popping up in the NEC section. I won't mention the posters name but there is a section for those type of questions.

Scott, I think you would make a good Sheriff.

On another note of curiosity, I've got to ask, did you run in the Boston speedo marathon this past weekend? :D

Roger, I did not. I am a runner, and I did run races Sat, Sun, and Monday. I was fully clothed for all. I did tell my wife next year I have to do it.

Not to return to the original purpose of this thread, but

I generally don't bother moving questions to the area they "belong in," unless there is a really good reason for it. Part of my reason is that it is tough for the poster to recognize the fact that the post was moved. The only thing that is obvious is that the thread, as posted in the original topic area, shows up as being "closed." There is a statement at the top of the page that tells the reader that the thread was moved to another topic area. But that statement is in small text and is in an obscure location.

Scott, I hope you have not been loosing sleep over the fact that someone posted a question under the wrong topic. Sounds like you have entirely too much time on your hands.

This site is visited by people of all levels of learning and understanding. The moderators do a great job of keeping the threads understandable.

I commend any person for asking a question to gain further understanding, or keep from doing work that is not correct. If that question is placed in the wrong topic, what is the harm?

The positive side is that the question IS being asked in a place where a KNOWLEGEABLE answer can be found.

With the christmas season at hand we should all be mindfull of not only the words of the bible, but its spirit. (helping others, and being tolerant are part of that spirit)

I have lost much sleep. Which leaves me with even more time on my hands.

Or not

Just making observations.

Re: I'm certainly not the forum police....

I'm all for Scott's new endeavor.

I think he'd make a fine forum enforcement agent. You can really feel his sense of urgency when he's annoyed by something.

I'm just a litle concened about what might happen if he's given any actual authority.

Maybe a test run is in order.

Re: I'm certainly not the forum police....

So if we are going to enforce things and give people authority, what will be the punishments. I vote for 50 lashes with a wet noddle should anyone post a question in the wrong place. :p

His title could be "Forum Inspector"
