I would think saying you have no idea might be an extreme. Repeated use on different circuits may indicate a problem, much like you might be able to detect if your meter went wacko between calibration tests.

He might not get data precision but he might only be looking for a general pass/fail result.

Agreed, "no idea" was a poor choice of words. How about "unsure"? In my world we are required to have calibrated test equipment, need to include test equipment serial # on all test forms and calibration dates, and be able to provide calibration certificates if requested.

Absolutely. And I would expect no less for the type services you provide.
