Hi again;

I' ll try to articulate my question to the best of my ability.

I have several questions:

If I have a lower (flc)hp motor with a higher multiplier (let's say continous duty 125% per 430.22e) than a higher (flc)hp motor with a lower multiplier (say 85%) which motor -and if so- do I again or when do i again multiply the 125% for the highest rated in calculating feeder (see below)? and ocpd 430.52(which one is highest before or after factoring in duty cycle)?

largest motor x 125% plus sum of others in group? and assume service factor of 1.15 and heating 40c are not an issue?

here is are some examples:

100a x 85%( intermittent duty) = 85a
90a x 110% ( varying duty)= 99a
80a x 150% (also varying duty) = 120a

now as for highest rated per. art. 430.17 which I would rate from 430.250 which is 100a do I x by .85 then x by 1.25 ( which is a wash)106. somthin amps

And if 80a x 150 = 120a as ( per art. 430.24 exception 1)do i again x by 1.25
My stallcups book doesn't multiply the additional 125% is that becuase it has already been multiplied by a factor of 1.5 (150%)?

second example: after clarification of above

100a x 85%( intermittent duty) = 85a
90a x 110% ( varying duty) = 99a
80a x 150% ( varying duty) = 120a
90a x 125% ( just continuious ) = 123.75a

now is the 90a x at 125% = 123.75a now the largest and do i multiply once again by 125%!

And what about high effeciency ( that's another can of worms)

Have patience, young Jedi.
