Incomplete NEC book

noticed some NEC editions do not contain cited references such as 250.5(A)(5)
what edition NEC contains 250.5(A)(5)?

Queries to NFPA have been non-responsive

Is there a recommendation of NEC version(s) to purchase ?

I suspect that it may be a typo- I go back to 2005 with nothing for that number

Buy the one that is in force where you work. With that said, if your area is on the 2005 or 2008 NEC there is a chance that your jurisdiction might change. Ask at the local Building Codes office is the best bet.

Yeah, that's a typo. Should have said 250.4(A)(5).
