I had one of those years ago. I actually cut an inch out of that bar, leaving the lug connected to one part of the bar, and screwed the bonding screw through the other part.

You can't do that with this panel. It is a plug-on neutral and both bars have to be connected together. Only choice for this panel to be a subpanel is to add ground bars.
