On a indoor hot tub installed in doors must I use a insulated EGC ?

If it is residential install then you can use nm cable for the tub indoor. The only issue is if the manufacturer requires a full size equipment grounding conductor.

I had a guy install a full size outdoor type hot tub indoors and right in the middle of a small living room. You had like 4ft to walk around it to get to the front door. It was the craziest thing.

Yes... but to the OP . Is it in a hotel ?

try looking at 680.21 for the non insulated EGC in NM cable.

110.3(B) for when instructions require full sized EGC.

680-21-4 THANK YOU. no insulated egc required on inside residential hot tub. when using nm cable with egc in the cable.
