Hi...we are doing a load calculation for a client who is installing industrial ovens that heat up a product in a vessel and then maintain a temperature for a period of time.  Article 427.4 states that all fixed electric heating equipment for pipelines or vessels shall be considered continuous load. Is this just for heat trace-type systems?  Our client's ovens do not take 4 hours to heat up and then cycle to maintain temp, so I thought we could consider them non-continuous loads since they would never run continuously for > 4 hours at any one time.  thanks.
