Have some long runs of MI cable sizes 350 &500. If anyone has experience with this looking for some areas of concern/things to be aware of when installing estimating. Already know where we have to splice.

Im generally familiar with the MI and the parts and pieces involved.

Curious does anyone labor the bends/offsets separately or do you take the approach that's included in the MI labor unit?

Thanks

If you had to bend RMC, would you try to use a blanket price or develop a unit price per bend/offset? 'Cause that's about how hard it's going to be to wrestle that stuff if you've never dealt with it before. Depending on the number of bends, you could quickly blow through any flat rate per foot pricing. I know Iwire has posted pics before, but I don't know if his company actually did the install. I did find a cost comparison with MC by one vendor. Of course, is touts the advantages of MC so take it with a grain of salt, but it looks like the installed cost is about 1.5X for MI. Which frankly, is less than I expected.

Bending MI(depending on size) is comparable to bending RGS of equivalent size? I will do some homework as well....:D

Well, consider the construction. It's copper pipe filled with magnesium oxide with another copper wire in the middle.
