Is it legal to just install a new light on old K&T. can't seem to get the owner to budge on removal and rewire....they just want an old light installed...

Only ones I've seen that meet this are driver pendants, integrated led outdoor lights, and some nicer disk lights.Look at exception #1 also. If you can find a fixture with no exposed conductive parts, then you won't need GFCI.

Exposed 832 screwsIs there a box on termination end of K&T designed for K&T? if not good luck finding insulators. Seen many that are just flying splice or improperly put into a MC box with no insulators.

For holding a ceiling fixture I think you'd need something rated for the 50lbs. For a wall keyless I think that'd flyHa-Ha!: Nylon screws!
