Intercept Ductbank

I have a project that transformer is feeding existing load underground in ductbank. I am planning to intercept the existing feed to generator transfer switch.

What is the practical way to intercept ductbank?

There may not be one if the duct bank is concrete encased, especially if you can't take all of the ducts in the bank out of service.

Forget about intercepting ductbank. Send generator feeds to transformer. Feed new wires from secondary bus to generator transfer switch, then load wires from generator switch back to transformer to connect with existing load wires in the bottom of secondary compartment.

That sounds much Simpler than chipping the ductbank.
