I got $200 in Sears gift cards from a credit card rebate, so I went grazing in the tool department. ?Sad to say? I own most of the craftsman tools I want. Anyway I came across an "Craftsman Professional" "800A AC/DC Clamp Meter" for $100 list, ($80 with my military discount -- always ask, worst they can do is say no).
I got it because of the AC/DC A ranges -- 0.01 A -- 800 A in three ranges: 40, 400, & 800.
Looks like (with a 10x multiplier) it would be good for looking at GFCI problems.
It's CAT III 600V. 3% accuracy "slow reading" no Low Z voltage
0.1mV -- 600V AC/DC
Ohmmeter, Cap, HZ, & temp.
